A tough one yesterday at Castle Combe. It was a dry Qualifying, I was still getting comfortable with the new car but we finished up 6th. Soon after the heavens opened and the track took a very heavy downpour of rain which lasted right through our race. A mix of emotions from Oulton Park. Firstly what an amazing circuit! As for all the tracks this year, it was my first time there. I made a couple of errors Friday, which meant that my track time was significantly reduced, completing less than 20 laps the entire day. With a good nights rest and a clear head we qualified P10 in a tightly packed session, improving my time lap by lap. Another great race at Castle Combe on Monday. P3 in Qualifying before being promoted to 2nd for my first ever front row start. Unfortunately not the start I would have hoped for, dropped the clutch and bogged, falling to 8th by turn 1. Fought back though to finish P5. First 10K complete! 🏃🏼🏁 Thank you everyone for all the support with my fundraising so far! Completed in a time of 47:20, finished 430 out of 1218. Normally like to finish on the podium, but I'll take it this time haha. For my first running effort not too disappointed, only got in 5 weeks of training beforehand as it was a late decision, so definitely looking forward to improving on the time for the next one.
